Music Education I am an experienced financial specialist and administrative officer with specialties in government procurement, financial and budget specialist, funds manager, travel management and human resources liaison specialist. I also have experience as a museum collections technician at The George Washington University Textile Museum and archaeological laboratory technician with the Veterans Curation Program. While at the Dept. of Defense I served as a program analyst, personnel security specialist, Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Government Purchase Card (GPC) Agent. I am also a retired U.S. Air Force musician and honorably discharged after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force regional bands program as a non-commissioned officer. I served in many administrative positions including as a government purchase card holder, support agreement manager, inventory manager, deployment manager, IT procurement manager and as a professional musician.I was a financial specialist and administrative officer at the Smithsonian\'s SAWHM and OFMR teams. My duties included being a purchase order approver, and submitter, purchase card holder, asset property officer, a human resources liaison (WebTA and HRMS PAR actions) and as the Funds and budget manager for the SMZ. Other Smithsonian assignments was working as a Public Affairs Specialist with Visitor and Guest Services at NMAAHC. My responsibilities included greeting guests, provide way finding, assisting guests with obtaining daily tickets and provided sight guided tours by request for visually impaired guests. Prior to NMAAHC, I was an intern with the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) with the conservation and preservation team. Before the Smithsonian, I was a DOD federal government employee at the Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. for three years. As a Federal Government employee at the Dept. of Defense, I was a Program Analyst, Contracting Officer Representative (COR), government purchase card holder, support agreement manager and personnel security specialist. I am an accomplished leader with an extensive background in music, and as a professional trombonist. I have an extensive background in government procurement and purchasing, processing and reconciling purchase orders, procuring equipment, contracting services, media, information technology, and professional audio engineering and video equipment.
