About Jerom Theunissen

I am a Dutch-American executive advisor, innovation strategist, and transportation engineer, fascinated by the intersection between mobility, quality of life, innovation, technology, and business. I love to dig into customer problems and solve them with innovative, technology-enabled approaches. I help clients to overcome the biggest obstacles to infrastructure delivery in transportation. Currently, I am serving as executive advisor to Jacobs’ Global Transportation Market Director Patrick King, where I support differentiated growth of the transportation market pipeline in concert with Jacobs\' Global Transportation leadership team and other company leaders. I drive special market, sales, and operations initiatives that include research, financial analysis, strategy development, and internal and external communications.In addition, I help grow the innovation muscle of my colleagues at Jacobs through our Market Solutions Emerging Ideas program. My job is to support teams as they build upon their ideas for each of the end markets Jacobs serves, leveraging lean, agile, and human-centered design principles to enterprise service and product development. Finally, I lend my technical expertise in traffic engineering, active transportation, land use planning, site design, traffic impact studies, transportation coordination, and mobility management to clients across the United States.I love to ride my bike and travel. I circumnavigated the globe to more than 31 countries during the Michael B. Keegan Traveling Fellowship, where I closely studied the role of transportation in delivering quality of life for urban dwellers. I met over 200 city officials, transportation engineers, urban planners, and community organizations around the world to gain an understanding of how each city approaches mobility through their unique experiences.My career experiences have centered around furthering people-centered urban mobility across the United States through my work as a transportation engineer, innovation strategist and photographer. I believe in the power of combining technical expertise with visual storytelling to inspire others toward fairer, more equitable, livable, and vibrant cities around the globe.
