About Jermaine Mortley
I am currently a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, pursuing a path that reimagines the future of science and healthcare. My ultimate goal is to become a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, but my passion for medicine extends beyond that. I aspire to become a pediatric surgeon, with a strong desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of children, particularly those from minority and underserved communities.I am driven by the opportunity the medical field offers to create meaningful change. I am passionate about helping children and improving healthcare access for disadvantaged populations around the world. This summer, I plan to take an important step toward this goal by launching a nonprofit educational organization. My vision is to eventually leverage my medical education to give back to communities in Guyana and beyond, helping to foster better health and education outcomes for the next generation.
