Develops, plans, and implements curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs for student audiences within areas of expertise. Advises, tests, and teaches students audiences in a variety of academic subjects. Presents and reinforces learning concepts within a specified subject or subject area. provides leadership and assistance to campus personnel and scholars regarding student behavior management and Restorative Practices at their assigned Desoto Independent School District. This role requires a deep content expertise in promoting positive student behaviors by leveraging SEL-based intervention strategies such as Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Restorative Practices. Provides direct behavioral intervention and case management for students displaying challenging and complex behaviors in addition to consultation with campus staff. Coordinates, develops, and maintains student behavior management programs and systems, anchored in Restorative Practices, and SEL-based intervention programs, for assigned school. Manages the Student Support Team (SST) at assigned school through a Response to Intervention model. This includes scheduling, facilitating and maintaining effective documentation at all meetings. In collaboration with Student Support Services team, assists with the development of MultiTiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) to provide effective behavioral interventions at assigned school. Serves as case manager for students facing significant behavioral challenges and coordinates care and programming with other key stakeholders and staff, including parents, school leaders, counselors, health services staff and other faculty. Serves as Restorative Practices champion for assigned school and facilitates restorative circles, student mediations, and reflection time, while also coaching school staff on Restorative Techniques.
