Serves as the Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist/Deputy Regional Director responsible for the regional administration, coordination, long-term planning and tactical execution of the goals associated with the Agency’s Continuity, Emergency Management, Disaster Response and Recovery, Physical, Cyber, and Personnel Security Programs. Executes the full range of management responsibilities, to include strategic planning, budget formulation and execution, contract administration, resource management, property accountability, personnel administration, information systems and operational support issues. Provides recommendations to improve government-wide Emergency Preparedness, Employee Safety and Security programs, plans and initiatives; participates in strategic planning sessions to help identify, evaluate, and distribute relevant information pertaining to Emergency Preparedness Employee Safety and Security, and Facility Protection to Federal agencies.

ABOUT JERMAINE BROWN
Jermaine Brown, B.S, A.S, AMAJermaine Brown is currently the owner of JABRO Solutions, which is a security and emergency preparedness consulting firm. He also serves as the Deputy Regional Director for the General Services Administration providing direct oversight for the agency\'s Security, Emergency Management, and Continuity of Government programs. During his tenure with GSA, he worked to enhance the efficacy and robustness of the regional Security, Emergency Preparedness, and Continuity programs. In addition to serving as the regional subject matter expert for the programs under his purview, he has previously served as the regional credentialing officer, regional physical access control system technical representative, and the regional security Lead for internal business process audits. Since joining the agency in December of 2007, he has developed effective working relationships with the key figures within the local and federal law enforcement communities, the Government Facilities Sector; forged bonds with regional security service providers, and emergency preparedness community; and enhanced collaboration and cooperation with tenant agency security personnel and decision makers, as well as regional and national government officials. His major accomplishments with the organization include the development of an internal facing website to engage internal customers, the authoring of standard operating procedures for security processes, and a business process to ensure required security countermeasures are incorporated into all real estate acquisition projects.
