Selected as part of the first competitive project based internship program focused on innovation, recruitment, and public safety transformation within the BART Police Department. • Collaborating with a creative team developing a video game that will be used as a recruitment tool for BART HQ to engage younger and tech-savvy applicants• Assisting the creative team to ensure their project excels for the iyai+(introducing youth to American infrastructure) competition • Developing a recruitment and retention strategy capstone project aimed at attracting diverse, qualified candidates to BART PD by conducting research and community engagement to evaluate current outreach methods• Contributing to the development of actionable recommendations to improve public trust and recruitment diversity• Participating in career readiness workshops and professional development sessions with BART leadership• Exploring intersections of policing, innovation, and equity in public transportation settings• Building cross departmental relationships with interns and professionals across BART divisions
