ABOUT JEREMY XAVIER

1) I like when my products win awards but I like it much better when the team feels more proud of our product than anything else in their portfolio. 2) I’ve been an FTE at 3 startups and all were acquired. Am I a good luck charm? Maybe. But I think really I just found people who were passionate about building incredible cultures and products. I learned so much from them about how to build a team. 3) I’ve had leadership positions at 3 large, publicly traded companies going through major transitions. Two thrived and are still thriving. One went bankrupt and liquidated. I learned as much from the bankrupt company as the ones that thrived. A good fail can teach you a lot. 4) I love mentoring and advising startups. If I can help, message me :) 5) Like many people, my formative years were….well, formative. I have an English degree and I still obsesses over how stories unfold and characters go through their journey. The hero journeys I’m obsessed with now, though, are those of my coworkers and customers. I love when things are uncertain and you have to problem solve quickly and move fast. I credit that to riding a skateboard when I was young.(Note: I wasn’t very good). I lived for music. I still do. I learned most of what has helped in business by being a music fan. I can talk your ear off about that. 6) And, also, I work really well remotely. If you aren’t nearby but want to work together, I’m in.
