ABOUT JEREMY VIDITO
Every child deserves not only the opportunity to graduate high school, but to excel. That belief is what guides me as a school administrator every day. In my efforts to positively impact K-12 education, I support Detroit Public Schools Community District ensure every student graduates and surpasses state and federal standards. In my current role, I lead the financial planning, accounting, payroll and internal audit departments. We ensure educational resources are aligned to the strategic vision of the organization in order to meet the needs of our students. Ultimately by focusing on exceptional teaching and learning, aligning resources and prioritizing the relationships between students, families and the school — we can create a district where every student is on track for success.I do this work because as a student, I struggled academically and socially in school. I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a support system of family and great teachers who pushed me to do my best, so I was able to make it through college. Every student, irregardless of gender, race, zip code or school deserves the same support networks which allowed me to be successful. School districts are responsible for creating the opportunities and support networks which address systemic racism, classism, and gender inequities.
