About Jeremy Salter
I <3 technology. I am a software/systems engineer by day and a hardware tinkerer by night. Full-stack. I yearn for technical challenges, while being drawn to opportunities to lead and inspire others. I love to teach and I love to learn. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, desire for well-roundedness, and a strong appreciation for diversification. I am driven by purpose, values and support to the mission. I am an eagle scout and daily practicer of the scout oath and law. I enjoy working with and encouraging high-performing teams, steeped in a strong foundation of trust and respect. Growing up as a Cubs fan has foundationalized me as an eternal optimist and one who believes in their dreams.I am passionate about supporting those serving our country in uniform and public service. I have spent my career in the defense and IC communities. My drive is to make daily operations simpler, especially for those displaced from their families and often serving in harm’s way. I have worked operations and gained first-hand, multi-INT, domain experience in air, land, sea, cyber and space. My biggest takeaway was the essential need of getting end-users engaged early and conducting operations research before product development. We must solve the RIGHT hard problems by digging through the what and the how; emerging with the WHY.I am enthusiastic about the agile development methodology for delivering great products. I have experience as scrum master, product owner and product manager. I believe in constant improvement for both teams and self; the never-ending desire for efficiency and effectiveness. I am an advocate of design thinking, open innovation and the lean startup methodology for establishment and iterative development on a minimum viable product focused on the WHY and empathizing with the user. As a lover of technology, teaching, leading and inspiring – STEM education is a natural platform that resonates strongly with me.
