In 2006 I was involved in the closure of one of NZ’s largest tube mills and value-add production facilities. It became clear to me that NZ-based business would be increasingly exposed to the pressures of Asian-manufactured products and services, and I realised there was a gap in the market for assisting Western-based manufacturers to identify and manage their highest-cost components or processes (typically high labour content). Linkeight provides a secure, fast and cost-effective route into Asia, reducing component costs and helping manufacturers remain competitive within their respective markets, particularly in the production of metal components or finished assemblies.
