   I am leading a two-person build and release team at Kroger\'s Vitacost office in Boca Raton, FL. The Boca office is an integral part of Kroger\'s expanding digital effort. We manage the Vitacost and Ship websites and are involved in a variety of Kroger\'s blossoming eCommerce initiatives. The build and release team is taking on more of a DevOps role as we move into more current technologies like Vespa, Redis, and microservice architectures- Played an integral role in bringing Kroger\'s Ship platform to production. Responsibilities included build and release, troubleshooting all aspects of the application, working with dev and QA throughout the SDLC, management of the production and QA environments, and managing the Endeca search application used by Ship. The application is supported by 24 web servers and 32 API servers across two colos- Lead DevOps engineer on a project that moved Kroger\'s Ship platform from the Endeca search engine to the open source Vespa platform, increasing the speed, reliability, and maintainability of search for the Ship application.
