Jul 2010 — Present · Washington, DC, US
I work in the FHWA Office of Planning where I do research and technical capacity building to support planning requirements of the Federal Aid Highway Program. I develop modeling resources and tools, and provide modeling expertise to FHWA Headquarters and Divisions, DOTs and MPOs. Much of my work revolves around developing effective forecasting methods for environmental analysis under NEPA and helping to develop and review such forecasts on major projects. I have worked on bicycle and pedestrian data and analytic tools, land use and transportation interactions (including induced traffic), performance-based planning, and scenario planning. I manage the VisionEval strategic modeling pooled fund effort. I have worked with the Office of Highway Policy Information on bicycle and pedestrian enhancements to the Traffic Monitoring Analysis System database, and on on analytic planning methods for automated vehicles and shared mobility, digital infrastructure, and complete streets.
