To borrow from Clayton Christensen:\"Management is the most noble of professions if it\'s practiced well.\" It\'s why I embrace my dual role as both an Engineering Manager and a hands-on Staff Software Engineer, because the best leaders stay close to the work while developing their people.With 12+ years of experience building information systems in Ruby on Rails, React, and Python, I\'ve led teams through technical transformations, architected scalable solutions, and mentored engineers at every level. I recently completed MIT\'s Applied Generative AI for Digital Transformation certification, and I\'ve fully embraced AI-powered development - using tools like Cursor and Claude to fundamentally change how I approach software engineering.Currently, I lead a team of 7 engineers at Slope, where we build clinical trial supply chain software. My miniMBA training in supply chain management has proven surprisingly relevant here, and I find deep satisfaction in solving complex logistics problems through technology.But my story doesn\'t end with technology.I\'m also pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and Leadership at Talbot School of Theology, driven by a question that won\'t let me go: How do small churches do effective ministry sustainably? I\'ve watched too many small churches burn out their best leaders trying to mimic larger congregations. I believe there\'s a better way, and I\'m committed to finding it.This conviction led me to serve as Community Groups Ministry Director at Promise Church, where I develop leaders, implement new engagement strategies, and steward ministry resources. I also built and maintain our church\'s website as a way to serve my community through my technical skills.I\'m bi-vocational by design. I believe the intersection of technology and ministry creates unique opportunities to serve both domains.
