Born in Hackney, currently living in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Jeremy Kolosine is an electronic artist/producer/gearhead, founder of synthpunk pioneers Futurisk, and micro-chipmusic vanguards 8-Bit Operators. Exemplifying a longtime experimental hardware electronics ideal, from Moogs to GameBoys, having performed at NYC\'s legendary Blip & Bent Festivals, CMJ, Austin\'s SXSW and Iceland\'s Airwaves. In 2007 he performed the first ever circuit-bent performance (Leopold Mozart\'s \"Toy Symphony\") with a full symphony orchestra (The Roanoke Symphony),and released the critically acclaimed compilation \"8-Bit Operators - The Music of Kraftwerk\" on Astralwerks/EMI. DFA/ LCD Soundsystem\'s James Murphy commissioned a set of unique Receptors\' GameBoy synth ringtones. in 2008 Receptors released 2 albums on the Nintendo DS, the first full-length release by an artist on the Korg DS-10 titled \"groKwork\". In 2009, Jeremy completed the \"21st Century Retro-Futurists\" audio/video installation for The Taubman Museum, and joined the Blip Fest Europe/ 8bitpeoples tour of Denmark and Poland (Era New Horizon Film Festival.).On 09/09/09, 8-Bit Operators\' WANNA HLD YR HANDHELD Beatles Tribute, and Receptors\' USER Deluxe EP on the world-renowned 8bitpeoples chipmusic label. In 2010, the 30th Anniversary vinyl 12inch of Futurisk\'s PLAYER PIANO LP released on Minimal Wave Records, Receptors\' SLEEPER CD released. In 2011, Futurisk\'s Lonely Streets Remixes released, mixes by Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle,Chris & Cosey),Tom Furse (The Horrors), Prince Language (DFA), On 12/12/12 8-BIT OPERATORS released a DEVO Tribute, Crack That Chip! In 2013, Marty Thau\'s legendary Red Star Records (Suicide, Blondie, John Cale, The Ramones, Richard Hell) released exclusive remixes of Futurisk and 8-Bit Operators on \"Variations\". 2014 delivered an increase in visibility and distribution with the release of 8-Bit Operators\' Depeche Mode Tribute, Enjoy The Science. A Kolosine solo album is currently in the works.
