About Jeremy Berger

I have always loved working with others to solve problems. In business being able to disagree with others and find a solution suitable to both parties is an important skill which I have learned through my work on the Teen Board and as a Camp Counselor. I have become good at finding compromises that everyone can agree on, but sometimes solutions leave unresolved issues. For instance, while serving on the Teen Board many great organizations applied for grants. However, it was impossible to fund them all. One organization that we were unable to fund was City Year Detroit. I felt really connected to their mission of ensuring Detroit public school children graduated high school. So, I worked with them to organize a school supply drive for their benefit. It is now being carried on by other students at my high school in what will hopefully be an annual event for years to come. Even though I could not get my preferred organization funded I was able to compromise and benefit everyone. I intend to make many more beneficial solutions in the future. At this early stage in my college career I am still open to exploring all potential career opportunities, but I am currently interested in commercial real estate. Regardless of the outcome in deals I will do whatever is in my power to ensure a positive outcome as I did while on the Teen Board. Continuing to improve solutions after the fact will serve me well in the future regardless of the job.
