ABOUT JEREMY WELLS

As the Senior Vice President of Philanthropic Services at the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, one of the largest community foundations in the country, I serve as the chief fundraising and donor stewardship strategist. I am honored to lead the passionate Philanthropic Services team that ensures donors, advisors and organizations receive the highest level of personal service. I also collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities to raise important resources for community-led initiatives.With roots in Saint Paul and partners across the state, the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation is Minnesota’s largest community foundation and the partner of choice for thousands of donors, nonprofits and community organizations. The Foundation aspires to create an equitable, just and vibrant Minnesota where all communities and people thrive. The Foundation’s aspiration is wholly and completely aligned with my personal values. Inspiring generosity is truly my vocation… the place at which my deep passion meets the world’s deep need. Many people only get to experience this alignment once or twice in their lifetime, and I have the privilege of living at that intersection on a daily basis and in the place that I call home.Committed to furthering the field of philanthropy by educating the next generation, I am an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Thomas and a frequent public speaker on a variety of advancement and fund development topics, including charitable tax policy, development planning, utilizing volunteers, donor engagement, stewardship, fundraising ethics and campaign strategy.Passionate about working toward a more equitable society, I have served on more than a dozen local, regional and national nonprofit boards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global Board of Directors, the AFP Political Action Committee Board, and the national board of the Advancement Network. I was humbled to be selected as a 40 Under 40 recipient by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, and I was recently named the 2025 Outstanding Professional Fundraiser by AFP Global.
