As Nasdaq’s Chief Strategy Officer, Skule collaborates with divisional leaders to develop and refine go-to-market strategies for new growth vectors, regional expansion opportunities, and capital allocation decisions that drive value for clients and shareholders. He is responsible for Nasdaq’s corporate strategy, Office of the CEO, transformation office, and global marketing and communications teams, overseeing the company’s positioning as an innovative global technology company. Skule recently guided the company’s strategic acquisition of Adenza and has also managed several smaller acquisitions and divestitures during his tenure. In his role as Executive Chair, Financial Crime Management Technology, Skule leads the development of Nasdaq Verafin’s strategic roadmap in support of its mission to help financial institutions eradicate financial crime from their networks. He also provides guidance to the Nasdaq Verafin leadership team to advance their global business expansion efforts and cross-sell objectives.Since joining Nasdaq in 2012, Skule has led the global rebranding of Nasdaq, as well as held a leadership role in developing the company’s 2017 strategic pivot to embrace its core strengths in data, analytics, and technology. Under Skule’s leadership, his team revamped the company’s lead generation process, redesigned Nasdaq’s digital and social media properties, and introduced a new global thought leadership platform. All of these efforts have helped drive an $10 billion brand valuation, 10x market capitalization growth, and a more than tripling of the company’s revenue. Skule also serves as Chairman of the Nasdaq Foundation, whose mission is to advance global economies and local communities to champion diversity in investor engagement.Skule’s 25-year career has spanned leadership roles in Washington, DC and New York.Before Nasdaq, Skule led marketing and communications teams across the financial services industry, including the financial services practice at the world’s largest marketing, advertising, and public relations firm.He received a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University and Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College.
