Responsible for the overall compliance approach of the organization. Works closely with Country Offices, Programmes and HQ to build a consistent approach to assure the organization achieves its core mission while meeting legal, regulatory, funder, and partner compliance expectations- Leads the overall Risk Management function for the organization. Responsible for semi-annual updates of the organizational Global Risk Register; identification, rating, and prioritization of risks across the organization; development of country-level risk management tools and systems; and communication of top organizational risks to the Board of Directors- Responsible for the development and management of the incident management hotline system that record incidents, allegations, and other issues for follow-up and investigation. Conducts investigations at the HQ level when allegations involving senior staff are received. Serves as a member of the HQ Crisis Management Team as required- Serves as head of Internal Audit, including scheduling of all internal audits, final review of audit files, and communication of audit plans and results to executive leadership and the Board of Directors- Manages the contract routing and approval process for the organization. This includes significant expansion and refinement of the contract approval and signature process to cover the key types of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents used by the organization at the country and HQ levels- Serves as the primary internal contact for external legal counsel across the organization- Reports quarterly to the Board of Directors on the status of the incident management hotline, risk management, audit, and compliance issues.
