I\'m passionate about using business as a force for good in the world. At Tidey, we\'re making plastic too valuable to be thrown away through strategic partnerships with impact-focused brands. Our unique model involves the entire community in caring for the environment and rising out of poverty.After falling in love with the people of Guatemala and witnessing mismanaged waste, I took a humanitarian trip to Fiji where I became aware of the ocean plastic problem. This led me to research how to use mismanaged waste to create jobs in developing countries.We\'ve created a model that efficiently collects ocean plastic while also creating jobs for people experiencing poverty.
