In 1987 I founded gcp Chartered Architects with Graham Carruthers, initially established in Bath.I have led the company through its growth, incorporation in 1994 and relocation to Bristol in 1998.I am the senior director at gcp and majority shareholder of the company with principle responsibility for financial and business management.My personal Sector experience includes:• Commercial office design for Private Developers, Local Authorities, Investment Funds and Public Utilities• Commercial retail and mixed use development including out of town retail, town centre retail and regeneration projects for clients such as Bristol City Council, Sheraton Securities and RAM Eurocentres• Hotel, sports, fitness and leisure developments including centres for clients such as Whitbread Hotels, David Lloyd Leisure, Bristol and Clifton and Henbury Golf Clubs and The Country Club Hotels Group• Education and sports for Writhlington School, Chew Valley School, South Gloucestershire Council and Westfield, Saltford, Welton and Begbrook Primary Schools• Industrial and Process Design for clients such as Wessex Water, Bristol Water, Rolls Royce, Toyota UK and Terramond Developments• Health sector projects including three new GP Health Centres in Devon and work for the North Bristol NHS Trust at Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals• Residential design for public and private housing developers and private clients for both one-off houses and significant extensions and refurbishment of existing homes
