WORK HISTORY
Associate, Alternatives Transformation Group @BlackRock
New York, NY, US
I am a founding member of a newly established team focused on operations and technology strategy for private markets. The team is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that improve how data flows across the platform, how workflows connect between teams, and how emerging technologies like AI can be applied to operational challenges. Our scope covers fund accounting, middle office, and client services, which means we work across the full lifecycle of private markets investments. My work involves understanding how operations actually function across these groups and identifying where technology can make processes more efficient, more connected, and less dependent on manual effort. I spend time with stakeholders across the organization learning how they work and translating that into system design. I lead a small team focused on data governance and workflow automation, and I advise teams across the firm on how to build and improve their operational systems.

ABOUT JEREMY MOON
My background spans finance, real estate, public policy, mathematics, and technology. I have spent four years in private markets operations and technology strategy at BlackRock, working across the lifecycle of infrastructure, real estate, and private equity funds. I hold a graduate degree in public policy with a focus on international development and experience in environmental policy. I am completing my MBA at NYU Stern with a focus on real estate finance, sustainable business, and innovation. At Stern, I am an MBA Real Estate Fellow at the Chao-Hon Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance and a Teaching Fellow for graduate courses in finance and real estate.I am working toward a career investing in and building real assets and infrastructure that work for the future. I care about where capital goes and what it enables: housing that people can afford, transit that connects communities, energy systems that are sustainable for the long term. That is the future I want to help fund and build.
