Executive Director @Build It Green
Oakland, CA, US
Build It Green (BIG) envisions a healthy housing ecosystem that fosters well-being in individuals, communities, and bioregions. BIG advances regenerative neighborhood development by providing credible and accessible resources, bringing stakeholders across the housing ecosystem together, and developing innovative solutions. • BIG is evolving into its “3.0 phase”, and I am leading the effort to identify the unique role we can play in both meeting housing needs and addressing existential challenges like the climate crisis. • Using my connections in the housing, land using planning, social equity, environmental, business, and other circles, along with BIG’s historical connections in the green building, construction, and energy efficiency arenas, we are creating a network of housing ecosystem players unlike any other. • As BIG’s chief spokesperson, I am the organization’s voice on how regenerative development can result in a multitude of outcomes benefiting natural systems, neighborhoods, social equity, and civic vitality. • I manage our growing staff with the aim of creating a cohesive team that is always evolving professionally and that is dedicated to BIG’s mission and to each other. • I am a committed partner to BIG’s Board of Directors, working with them to shape the organization’s strategic direction and to leverage the talents and connections they bring to our work. • Overseeing fundraising, budget management, and BIG\'s administrative realms, I ensure organizational health as we chart our path to impact.
