Position Summary: Serves as a Branch Chief for the 9th Air Force (AFCENT) Mission Support Branch, supervising 3 government program managers responsible for the acquisition and management of a variety of services required to support the mission of the 9th Air Force (AFCENT). This position is responsible for ensuring that all services are acquired and managed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies (e.g. FAR, DFARS, AFFARS, DoDI, etc.). Administers/controls technical, financial, and contractual aspects in support of AFCENT\'s mission through all phases of the acquisition and life-cycle sustainment processes. Initiates, plans, develops, implements, executes, program and acquisition project integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, and stakeholder engagement.Duties and Responsibilities:• Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the Mission Support Branch to ensure that all services are acquired and managed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.• Develops and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines for the acquisition and management of services.• Participates in the development and implementation of the 9th Air Force (AFCENT) acquisition strategy, including the identification of service requirements, risk analysis/management, development of acquisition plans, and post-award management activities.• Provides technical guidance and advice to program managers and other personnel on matters related to the acquisition and management of services.• Reviews and evaluates proposals and contracts for the acquisition of services and makes recommendations for award.• Manages daily operations, including the conflict resolution, telecoms, risk analyses/management, and all things cost, schedule, performance.• Monitors contractor performance and ensures compliance with contract terms and conditions.
