WORK HISTORY
Team Member Motor Control Project, Illini Ev Concept Embedded Systems Team @Illini Ev Concept
Brought up firmware on a custom controller PCB using STM32F042F4Px and implemented CAN RX (HAL) to read vehicle speed and pedal signals- Designed and tuned a speed-to-PWM duty cycle mapping with deadband, clamping, and rate limiting for smooth torque response; validated on the bench with oscilloscope captures- Developed relay control logic to enable or stop the brushed motor based on high/low signal states- Collaborated with the Electrical Team to expose telemetry over CAN and UART for system testing and calibration.
EDUCATION
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Bachelor of Engineering - BE, Electrical Engineering
ABOUT JEREMY LIU
I’m an undergraduate Electrical Engineering student at UIUC with a strong interest in robotics, embedded systems, and AI.I’m passionate about designing and building intelligent systems that connect hardware and software — from low-level control to high-level autonomy. My goal is to gain hands-on experience and contribute to projects or research that bridge embedded computing, robotics control, and AI-driven decision-making.Open to internship, project, or lab opportunities where I can grow as an engineer by building real systems, not just studying them.
