ABOUT JEREMY KRANOWITZ
A sustainability \"ecopreneur,\" I have launched two environmental nonprofit organizations, and have built multi-stakeholder coalitions on some of the toughest environmental and energy problems. For more than 25 years, I have worked to bring together diverse groups to collaborate and solve complex issues including wasted food, climate change, carbon sequestration, and nuclear power. Some of my achievements include:• Built the Further with Food coalition, a public-private partnership among government agencies, major trade associations, and environmental and hunger-relief non-profit organizations to collaborate and share their resources to combat food loss and waste.• Designed a strategic partnership with NASCAR that donated over 1,300 meals, diverted over 5 tons of food scraps to compost, and increased recycling of plastic and cardboard by 1 ton.• Partnered with singer Jack Johnson to create a video on composting in Hawaii.• Presented to large groups as keynote speaker and panelist at national and international conferences, including the Global Climate Action Summit and the White House.• Related stories for online, radio and TV interviews, including ABC news and NPR, and in testimony before the EPA.• Led workshops to provide expertise and share knowledge on risk communication and stakeholder engagement across the U.S, Australia, and Canada.I sit on the Board of Directors of Sustainable America in Stamford and the Emerald Corridor Foundation in Atlanta.I can often be found on weekends on my stand-up paddleboard, or looking for sea glass by Long Island Sound with my wife and three children.
