Mr. Klop joined Fehr & Peers in 2002 and became a Principal in 2009. During his tenure at Fehr & Peers, he has focused on multimodal transportation analytics in service to both public and private sector clients. He serves as the firmwide Director of Strategy and works in the Los Angeles office. His work includes both city and regional efforts to establish transportation vision, policy, and networks, as well as neighborhood scale streetscape, access, and transit projects that help communities transform their transportation services. Since the late 1990’s, he has managed and contributed to over three hundred collaborative teams on projects across the country. Mr. Klop’s recent and current projects include:• Vision Zero Dignity Infused Community Engagement for LADOT• Blueprint Denver 2.0• Mobility Plan 2035 for Los Angeles• Master Plan for Los Angeles Union Station (USMP) • Transit Neighborhood Plans (5) for City of Los Angeles stations on Expo II light rail line• Statewide Complete Streets Training for Caltrans• Active Transportation Strategic Plan (ATSP) for LA Metro• Quality of Life Study for LA Metro• US EPA Smart Location Performance Indicators• Measuring Mobility in Pasadena - Beyond Auto LOS (2015 ASCE and APA award winner)• Great Streets Benchmarking Study for Los Angeles Mayor’s Office• Colfax Streetcar Feasibility Study for City and County of DenverMr. Klop has been exploring sustainable and active transportation solutions throughout his career, including his focus on transportation safety and environmental planning at UNC-Chapel Hill and his undergraduate work at Calvin University in both Biology and Education. He has served as the Vice President of Communications for the Colorado APA Board, volunteered his time for multiple ULI TAP Panels, and taught through both UC-Berkeley\'s Tech Transfer program and APA’s National Planner Training Service.
