Detective Maritime Crime & Security Manager Port Security Inspector @Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard)

Ex HM Forces (Royal Navy) from the age of 15 years old and remained so for 10 years and until I joined the Hampshire Constabulary. After 32 years of police service, I became an accomplished and passionate result-oriented criminal investigator who has constantly led by example. On retirement, I was employed as a SECO (ship security officer) working on many of the largest cruise ships in the Carnival UK fleet. After 2 years at sea I returned to Hampshire police for a further 4 years working as a civilian crime investigator. In 2014, I returned to Carnival UK as their Crime & Security Manager which I enjoyed immensity and I remained in that important and high profile role until July 2020 when, and which as a direct result of Covid 19, I was made redundant and which for my family and I was heartbreaking and as such am seeking a new position. I have a proven track record in the investigation of crime(s) and security related incidents and am someone who has a flexible approach to the many requirements of said roles with an excellent understanding what is need to get the best from myself and others that I manage. An expert in Safeguarding (children and vulnerable adults) and ship/port security according to the ISPS. Someone who is considered as a safe pair of hands when involved with difficult/stressful situations and who is disciplined and tenacious, who is supportive when needed and someone who leads by example and who will always do the right thing no matter the pressure I may be faced with.
