About Jeremy Hushon

I am an experienced law firm partner with a demonstrated history of working as a legal advisor in the finance industry. My primary focus is on international project finance in emerging markets. I have assisted in financing projects in over 50 countries in all regions of the world. Many of my projects are in the energy and infrastructure space, including a large number of renewable power projects, but I also have closed financings for commercial, agribusiness, industrial and health care enterprises as well as loans to financial institutions. I have represented a number of development finance institutions and investment funds with debt and equity transactions in the U.S. and emerging markets, including recent experience focused on sustainable investments.After spending all of my waking hours in front of a computer during the week, on weekends I enjoy tackling landscaping and home improvement tasks around the house. My current large project involves removing intruding roots and relining a small fish pond in my back yard.

   Jeremy is a partner in Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP\'s Washington, D.C. office where he started his practice in 1997 in the fields of project finance and commercial real estate. Jeremy has extensive experience representing development banks and other financial institutions, including International Finance Corporation where he completed a two-year secondment earlier in his career. He also has worked with owners and developers on independent power projects and real estate acquisitions and financings. Jeremy has been involved in projects around the globe, including significant experience in Central and South America, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe. He has worked on numerous independent power project financings including natural gas, hydroelectric, solar, bio-fuel and wind projects with both long-term offtake agreements and merchant plants. Jeremy also has substantial experience working on other types of infrastructure projects and smaller-scale investments such as the financing of a desalination facility, cement plants, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, microfinance banks, leasing companies and manufacturing entities.
