ABOUT JEREMY HAYDEN

Jeremy Hayden graduated at Leeds University Medical School in 1993, obtained his M.D. at Leeds in and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006. He completed his Specialist Training in Leeds, Adelaide, Tokyo and Pittsburgh and was entered on the Specialist Register in June 2006.His expertise includes advanced laparoscopic procedures for reflux, hiatus hernia, achalasia and morbid obesity (gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass). He performs radical resection for gastric and oesophageal cancer. He has experience of complex and revision benign oesophageal and gastric problems including management of the complications of surgery.Mr Hayden can assist Counsel and the Court in providing independent expert opinion on matters of medical negligence and personal injury and has undertaken training by Bond Solon Advocates in this area.His research interests include prognostic and predictive markers outcome of oesophagi-gastric cancer, quality of surgery, outcome measures in cancer and bariatric surgery and enhanced recovery pathways to improve patient care.
