About Jeremy Everett

I have twenty-six plus years in corrections most recently with the Tuscarawas County Sheriff\'s Office. I served as jail administrator for Sheriff Walt Wilson (retired) for the past six plus years overseeing the day to day operations of the security, medical, food service, maintenance and volunteer & contract programming personnel. During this time I have been an active member of many committees involving community corrections, re-entry, mental health and opiate addictions. I have initiated and implemented many improvements over my tenure ranging from life safety, training, liability reduction and upgrades to division equipment and software. I have extensive experience in policy development and maintaining compliance with state standards. Have also implemented cost saving measures for the benefit of the county. I have actively participated in attendance at regional jail administrator meetings as well as conferences, training, and networking with my peers in the criminal justice field. Additionally, I have been a unit instructor in the State of Ohio Basic Corrections School for Full-Service facilities. I have over twenty-one years of experience as a reserve deputy for the Tuscarawas County Sheriff\'s Office and have previously served as the treasurer for this organization. Personally: I\'m a proud veteran of the United States Navy, have been married for over twenty-five years and blessed with four children. I have been an active member of my community by being actively engaged in my children\'s interest. I\'m currently serving as the secretary/trustee of the band boosters, I\'m a member of several fraternal organizations and am currently a trustee. Recently I was appointed to my second term on the board of developmental disabilities.
