Overall responsibility for the content development and maintenance of ABIM’s core cognitive assessment products for certification and maintenance of certification. As a member of the ABIM executive team, help lead the organization to set and realize strategic goals for these core programs. • Oversee operations and practices of the Test Development (TD) section including advanced content development efforts.• Lead and oversee development and maintenance of ~$4M department operational budget and departmental work plan for TD;• Oversee hiring, development, mobilization, and management of TD staff (approximately 35-40 staff members);• Oversee management and efficient utilization of the intellectual capital of the Board (i.e, subject matter expertise for medical content and cognitive assessment practices) for developing and maintaining the core cognitive assessment products.• Work closely with other departments to coordinate and enhance an integrated workflow among staff for exam development and associated processes; and to support operational research and development of cognitive assessment methodologies and tools.• Represent TD to ABIM executive staff and contribute content expertise to operational and strategic planning across the organization.• Deliver TD resources as needed for high-priority-organizational initiatives, new and expanding areas of ABIM work, and core business operations across the organization, subject to capacity. • Advise the SVP for Assessment and Research and/or other appropriate executive staff when resource limitations threaten or prevent execution of planned work.• Support and manage ABIM Council and associated committees, the Exam Chairs Committee, specialty boards, and exam committees appropriate to VPTD scope of expertise as assigned by the SVP for Assessment and Research.• Represent ABIM TD functions to key external stakeholder organizations.
