About Jeremy Biddle
Jeremy Biddle works at the intersection of public safety and public health practice, policy, and research, helping cities reduce violence while strengthening community trust. He is Director of Violence Reduction Policy & Programs at the University of Pennsylvania’s Crime and Justice Policy Lab and Special Advisor to Baltimore’s Mayor and Police Commissioner, where he has been closely involved in the design, launch, and ongoing citywide expansion of the Group Violence Reduction Strategy (GVRS)—a partnership-based, data-driven approach linked to Baltimore’s sharp decline in homicides and shootings.As Founding Executive Director of MetroPEACE, Jeremy advises local and international partners on evidence-based strategies for preventing violence and minimizing social costs. His prior work includes leading citizen-security strategy for the U.S. Agency for International Development across Latin America and the Caribbean, and co-designing one of the largest municipal offices of violence prevention in the U.S.Jeremy holds master’s degrees from Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris.
