ABOUT JEREMY BARBER

I have ~20 years of experience in the planning, delivery and maintenance of civil infrastructure and capital projects across the transport, energy and resources and built environment sectors. I have worked in various roles including in government advisory with private sector clients and on secondment to construction teams in various project stages from concept development to detailed planning and delivery and commissioning, maintenance and decommissioning providing deep insights across the whole-of-life cycle of capital project delivery and asset management. Throughout my career I have had extensive exposure to multidisciplinary projects, construction management, project management and team leadership.In my current role with Accenture, I work to enable digital transformation for clients in the Build Environment including Capital Projects, Asset Management, Portfolio Management and Maintenance. Through practical experience in the planning, delivery and operation phases of capital projects I have intimate knowledge of the challenges faced in capital projects and how these challenges can be addressed through digitalization, big data and advanced analytics, which digital tools can enable this transformation and how data from capital projects can be utilized to generate insights and create value.My focus and specialization is in project management and project management improvement and excellence and how successful project outcomes can be achieved through a collaboration of people, process and technology.In my work, I am most passionate about enabling the energy transition and decarbonisation, so I am happy to be collaborating with clients in the energy and resources sector to realize these goals.
