About Jeremiah Paré
I’m a renewable energy project engineer at AES, working at the intersection of engineering, project execution, and the clean energy transition. My work focuses on supporting the development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects, translating complex technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements into buildable, financeable assets.In my role, I collaborate closely with development, construction, grid, environmental, and external partners to evaluate project feasibility, manage technical risks, and support projects from early-stage development through execution. I’m particularly interested in how strong engineering fundamentals, clear decision-making, and cross-functional alignment drive successful outcomes in large-scale energy infrastructure.Prior to AES, I worked in renewable energy project development across wind, solar, and battery storage, with experience leading land campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and contributing to M&A due diligence and project acquisitions across multiple ISOs. That background gives me a strong appreciation for how engineering decisions connect to land, permitting, markets, and finance.Earlier this year, I completed a 2,200-mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. The experience reinforced qualities I rely on professionally: resilience, long-term planning, adaptability, and the ability to make steady progress through uncertainty.Before entering the renewable energy sector, I served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aviation mechanic, where I developed a disciplined, safety-first approach to problem-solving, along with leadership and operational planning skills that continue to shape how I work on complex projects today.I’m driven by meaningful work, technical rigor, and building energy systems that are resilient, sustainable, and impactful at scale.
