About Jeremiah Smith

Jeremiah \"Eclipse” Smith is a 4th year at NCAT. His motto is, “Sometimes, Just Jump,” and from the very beginning of his association with NSBE, that is exactly what he has done, from his participation as a 3rd grader in NSBE’s Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK) until now, as a member of the Future Innovative Rising Engineers (FIRE) NSBE Jr. Chapter, based in Laurel, Maryland. Having served as vice president of the chapter, Smith has won or placed near the top in several national STEM competitions within and outside of NSBE. He also co-teaches STEM to younger members of his chapter, in the spirit of NSBE’s mission.STEM is his passion, but Smith is also an entrepreneur who has channeled his love of gaming to launch his e-sports brand, BLKHRZN. BLKHRZN\'s Goal is to increase the number of Black Professionals in the Gaming and Esports Space. He is also starting the BLKHRZN Foundation to work in general STEM efforts, but specifically to engage young Black Kids in the world of Esports, whether they want to play competitively, create games, do voice acting, do VFX, etc.

BLKGAMES works in game development and design, BLKTIX Focuses on VR and Haptics spaces, BLKVOICE works in advocacy and cultural representation, and BLKFIN focused on Crypto and financial literacy in the Black Community.
