Hired to take over and manage the hardware and embedded system development of Streamline’s existing, and pipeline products, for fleet management and tracking. With particular focus on certification for Electronic Data Logging (ELD) certification with CSA for existing Vehicle Gateway Module (VGM) and, emerging, Trek-530 Android based mobile platform-Development of custom J1939/OBD2/J1587 protocol simulator. All commercial offerings fail in some way, wanted full control and ability to simulate bad actors-Porting of vehicle communications into a portable C library to target third party platforms for Android, Embedded Linux, and FreeRTOS microcontroller based targets, without core IP refactoring-Remote vehicle troubleshooting with the development of vehicle bus monitoring and reporting service -Evaluation of third party hardware platforms for integration (IridiumEdgePro, eSmart, …) Technologies-Microchip DSPIC33EP512MU810 processor -QKernel RTOS framework -Android Native Development Kit (NDK)-USB Android Open Accessory (AOA) driver interface for wired data endpoint transfer -USB power negotiation (eg.
