California Foundation Fund (CAFF) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, independent, corporation that supports reinvestment, economic and financial self-sufficiency initiatives to help break the cycle of poverty.The organization was established in response to the chaos caused to low income families, especially minorities, by the financial meltdown. The underpinning cause of the financial failure within under resourced communities was their lack of knowledge about the banking system and financial planning. Within a short period of time, CAFF conducted financial capacity research, developed financial literacy curriculum standards, published training curriculum, introduced culturally competent financial literacy instructor training courses, published and coordinated multiple entrepreneurial university mini-courses and high school scholarship competitions, and coordinated financial education collaboratives with multiple agencies.Duties:Collaborate with University faculty and partners to launch our annual scholarship, FUTUREBOSS (futureboss.org). Scholarship recipients are award a college scholarship and iPad. Facilitate meetings with sponsors, partners, and San Diego County officials to participate in our scholarships and programs.Coordinate events to promote our events. Book location, keynote speakers, special guest, and catering. Create and develop communication material such as flyers, brochures, and email blasts to reach out to our current and potential partners.Recruit San Diego County high schools and MBA students to participate in our various programs: FUTUREBOSS and Social Entrepreneur Accelerator.Photograph and filmed communication and marketing pieces to promote our products and services.Accomplishments:Coordinate and launch YEPS Scholarship Award Ceremony Develop and launch the Social Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program at Alliant International Univeristy
