I took the opportunity to pause, reflect, and intentionally decide the next step in my career journey. After many conversations and a lot of reflection, I established three key priorities for this new phase:Focusing on Product: Product has always been at the heart of my passion for the cycling industry. Crafting, improving, and aligning great products with real-world needs is where my drive lies.Working with Small Businesses: Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege to work across the spectrum—from individual end-users to large, publicly traded companies. However, it’s the independent bicycle dealers (IBDs) who truly embody the industry’s spirit, nurturing local communities with heart and dedication. Supporting these businesses is both rewarding and central to the cycling community.Gaining Experience in a Larger Organization: I considered working for smaller companies, even launching my own venture, but ultimately wanted the perspective and resources of a larger organization. After years of encouraging IBDs to work on their business instead of in it, I felt it was time to apply that same principle to my own career path.When I came across the Account Manager role at QBP, it felt like the perfect match for these priorities.
