ABOUT JERALYN BEACH

I am a food systems and supply chain leader with a career-long commitment to hunger relief and equitable food access. Since starting as a Kid’s Café Coordinator at a Boys & Girls Club, I’ve dedicated my work to addressing food insecurity — from feeding children directly to building sustainable partnerships that strengthen entire communities. My path has taken me through culinary school, school food service management, and graduate study in food systems, giving me both practical and academic grounding in how policy, operations, and partnerships shape food access. I’ve implemented school salad bars, advanced farm-to-school programs, and collaborated with farmers, retailers, and food producers to rescue food that would otherwise go to waste.Today, as Sr. Supply Chain Manager at St. Mary’s Food Bank, I oversee the movement of food from donors and partners to the families who need it most. I manage sourcing, procurement, food rescue, and distribution strategy — but what drives me is the relationship-building: working alongside farmers, food retailers, donors, and community partners to grow a more resilient and equitable food system.I am especially passionate about tackling the root causes of hunger, and I bring a holistic perspective that combines logistics expertise with partnership development, policy insight, and a mission-driven approach to systemic change.Core Strengths:Food System Leadership & StrategyDonor & Partner Relationship ManagementFood Access & Hunger Relief ProgramsSupply Chain & Procurement ManagementCommunity & Farmer Partnerships
