Act as shift and duty manager, accountable for end-to-end transport performance, safety, and service delivery across large-scale home delivery operations- Lead and coordinate the daily planning, dispatch, and execution of routes to achieve on-time delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction targets- Oversee up to 250 drivers and support staff, ensuring compliance with all transport legislation, H&S standards, and operational procedures- Make real-time operational decisions to manage service risk, resource challenges, and incident escalation during live operations- Collaborate closely with fulfilment, planning, and customer service teams to align picking and dispatch volumes with fleet capacity- Monitor KPIs covering on-time delivery, fleet utilisation, cost per order, and customer metrics, identifying and implementing improvement actions- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to build driver engagement, performance, and safety culture- Ensure full adherence to the Working Time Directive and compliance with vehicle maintenance standards.
