About Jen Wang

My career has centered on making sense of complex systems—from quantum mechanics in biophysical chemistry to data science across marketing, ads, and product strategy. I build systems and products through analytics, machine learning, and structured thinking, driven by a deep curiosity about why real-world behavior so often diverges from what models predict. Over time, I realized that this divergence is where human judgment, uncertainty, and meaning emerge. This led me to explore how people navigate ambiguity and make decisions in complex, fast-changing environments. As AI increasingly commoditizes execution, I share reflections and mental models on how our decision-making is evolving, why the bottleneck is shifting toward rigorous judgment, and how the next generation of talent can navigate this new era of work.I also curate long-term frameworks on clarity, judgment, and complexity on a dedicated page: opinions are my own and do not represent my employer.

Experience

    Meta

Mar 2026 — Present · Boston, MA, US

Focused on decision systems and measurement quality for AI-driven products at scale. My work sits at the intersection of AI, causal measurement, and business strategy — moving beyond execution to guide how AI is evaluated, deployed, and scaled.Currently partnering across the org to co-design and scope:* 0-1 Product Vetting: Prototyping frameworks for evaluating early-stage AI concepts and identifying early signals of viability.* Evaluation & Quality Systems: Exploring new methodologies to measure the productivity of AI workflows, stress-test LLM outputs, and ensure high-quality decision intelligence.* Causal Measurement: Developing pipelines to measure the true business impact of AI-generated solutions against unstructured data.* Scaling Best Practices: Identifying and scoping opportunities to scale AI best practices and standardized evaluation frameworks across the broader organization.
