ABOUT JENY AELISHA
I am an aspiring Assistant Psychologist who completed a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree with British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation, committed to advancing mental health support through evidence-based practice and compassionate care.My academic training covered a wide range of psychological domains, including Developmental and Social Psychology, Psychobiology and Cognition, Cognitive and Physiological Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neurocognitive and Developmental Disorders, and Brain, Treatments and Behaviours. I developed a strong foundation in Qualitative and Quantitative Psychological Research, Methods and Practice of Psychological Inquiry, and a Psychology Placement Module, which gave me both applied and theoretical insights into psychological services. For my dissertation, I investigated the effect of gossip on the role of mindfulness in ASMR and working memory, combining my interest in cognitive psychology and mindfulness-based interventions. This research highlighted my focus on innovative methods and exploration of how psychological processes impact wellbeing and cognition. In addition to my degree, I held certifications in CBT, REBT, Career Counselling, Hypnotherapy, and Narcissistic Behaviour and Relationships, and I was a certified Mental Health Wellbeing Counselling Practitioner and Life Coach. I used a person-centred approach, blending theory and practice to support individuals through emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. With strong technical skills in Python, SPSS, MATLAB, and R-Programming, I was adept at conducting psychological research, data analysis, and applying evidence-based interventions. I gained experience working with vulnerable populations in educational and community settings, offering compassionate and goal-focused care.I actively sought Assistant Psychologist opportunities within NHS or private healthcare services, where I could continue to grow as a practitioner, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and make a meaningful impact on mental health and wellbeing.\"Let’s connect and collaborate to drive meaningful change in mental health, empower individuals, and create lasting positive impacts.\"
