About Jen Walker
After volunteering at a number of animal shelters over the years, I made the move to working professionally in animal welfare in 2004. I\'ve worked in both private nonprofits and county shelters, open-admission and limited admission facilities, with rescues, and served on a city task force. My background has a strong focus on humane education, companion animal training, and community outreach. I\'ve taught summer-camp and after-school programs in general science, environmental studies and animal welfare, been a parks docent, and interned at a wildlife rehabilitation center. The thread that weaves through all of these is compassionate stewardship for all, for animals (domestic and wild), people too, and for the world around us Specialties: Humane Education, Companion Animal Behavior and Training, Community Outreach, and Animal Assisted Therapy.
