Experience
Executive Director
Rare Disease Diversity Coalition
Oct 2022 — Present
Transformative leader selected to address systemic inequities across the rare disease journey, dedicated to improving timely and accurate diagnoses, clinical trial access, therapeutics, and sustained care for historically underrepresented patient populations impacted by social determinants of health (SDOH). By leveraging data-driven insights and strategic initiatives, I champion evidence-based solutions that dismantle barriers and foster measurable progress in health equity. Collaborating with patients, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and advocates who have a focus on a more equitable and inclusive landscape. The RDDC has partnered with legacy organizations such as NORD to collect data from historically underrepresented populations on their barriers to access and healthcare; created and implemented a rare disease fellowship program; spearheaded rare disease health equity awards and conferences; identified and implemented solutions to improve the life of a rare disease patient from marginalized communities.
