About Jensen Bergman

Junior studying computer science and statistics at Vassar College pursuing excellence both on and off the field as a dedicated NCAA athlete. As a result of years of rigorous athletic training, I bring a relentless work ethic to my academic pursuits. I am committed to pushing the boundaries of my capabilities, whether in coding or competition, and I look forward to making a positive impact in both realms. Recently, my adoration of competition combined with my logical and mathematical way of thinking has led me down the rabbit hole of game theory. It interests me more than anything that there are solutions in poker and chess that effectively beat the game itself. Since humans are unable to harness the full power of game theory, I hope to one day work on the algorithms that can. In my free time, I enjoy playing baseball, golfing, traveling, building computers, and exploring nature.

   My primary responsibilities include assisting peers with writing, debugging, and executing programming assignments. I focus on fostering a collaborative environment where students feel comfortable seeking help. By adapting my explanations to various learning styles, I guide students through complex concepts, ensuring they understand the material rather than simply providing answers.This role not only deepens my own understanding of computer science but also hones my communication and mentoring skills. It is incredibly rewarding to witness my peers succeed and grow in their knowledge. I am grateful for this experience and look forward to applying these skills in future endeavors.
