About Jennifer Schulties
I used to think that I was a writer who just happened to find a job in marketing (see my BA). Then a job turned into a career. And then one career turned into another career. And I realized that I\'m a strategic marketer who also happens to be an excellent communicator that thrives on change and a good challenge.While the world has been far from predictable recently, I had already voluntarily put myself through an introductory course of navigating the unknown a few years prior. Pivoting from magazine publishing to agency-side client and media management was not an easy decision and a little scary, but exploring something new had always been an accelerant for me so I leaned into the discomfort. A wise mentor saw in me what I hadn\'t yet seen in myself: an empathetic leader and a quick study. These two qualities allowed me to learn even as I led. It started off bumpy, sometimes felt really hard, but was always ultimately rewarding. Over a decade later, I continue to be a passionate and trusted partner to teams that I manage and to so many executives across industries and disciplines.My education continues: I\'m an active member of my local Toastmasters Club, I learn every day from my peers in specialized verticals, and I read as much as I can. Oh, and that writing degree still comes in very handy.
