I love to bring people and ideas together to generate the insight or the magical “aha” moment that creates new opportunities for success. In my current role as Vice President Global Strategy & Go-to-Market Execution at HPE Financial Services, I get to do this each and every day. Together with some incredibly talented people, I examine market trends, understand the business implications and build tangible strategies that help support our business’ long term growth. Business strategist, Peter Drucker, is one of my leadership inspirations. He observed: “Strategy is a commodity, execution is an art.” and I take great pride in the positive results and impact we generate for our business. This means turning strategy into action, enabling and equipping market-facing teams to bring our very best thinking and most innovate solutions to customers and partners worldwide. Collaboration is at the heart of the HPEFS culture and part of my own personal leadership philosophy. The power of bringing together the experience and perspectives of the whole go-to-market community provides the inspiration and shared sense of purpose that allows us to move mountains. My goal is to help everyone on my team excel in their chosen career, and nothing thrills me more than enabling talented people to achieve more than they ever dreamed possible. I’ve had the privilege of leading many different teams of people through-out my career. I’ve worked in many different countries, in a wide range of marketing and sales roles. The fast paced technology world continues to fascinate and energize me – I’m unrelentingly curious about innovation and business change, I’m a news-junkie, a voracious reader of management advice/know how, and I love to share what I learn and observe with others.
