ABOUT JENNY VIK

I am currently a Senior Raising Standards Leader (Senior Assistant Headteacher) with the Turner Schools Trust, where I lead on whole-school behaviour and careers strategy. In this role, I oversee the pastoral team, driving improvements in behaviour regulation, student culture, and overall school standards. A key focus of my work is reducing curriculum loss through effective behaviour systems and sanctions, ensuring students maximise their learning time. Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4. I am also Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) trained, with additional qualifications in positive handling and first aid.Previously, I served as Head of Sixth Form at Meopham School in Kent, where I led on Key Stage 5 progression, pastoral care, and post-16 pathways including careers and apprenticeships. My responsibilities also included oversight of the School Council, leadership development programmes, and wider student enrichment initiatives. Earlier in my career, I taught Physical Education and Psychology.I bring additional experience in curriculum and assessment, including three years as a BTEC Sport Level 2 and 3 OSCA and two years as an EPQ Coordinator. Prior to entering education, I worked as a graphic designer, which continues to inform my attention to detail and supports my contribution to school marketing and communications.Alongside my educational career, I have an extensive background in sport. I have represented the Czech Republic in rugby union and played for Harlequins FC in the Tyrrells Premier 15s. I am an RFU Level 2 qualified coach with over 15 years of coaching experience, including seven years as Head Coach of a men’s university team, where I led the team to promotion across four seasons. I have also worked at county level, coaching players within the Kent U16 girls’ programme.Additional coaching qualifications include Scrum Factory, Rugby Ready, Trampolining (Levels 1 and 2), Lacrosse (Level 1), Ice Hockey (Level 1), and UKSCA Level 1.I am passionate about developing high-performing school cultures, supporting staff and students to achieve excellence, and contributing strategically to sustained school improvement.Enior
