I am a seasoned risk manager responsible for managing the operational risk of Gap Inc. My core duties involve overseeing the claims program, safety program and risk financing including insurance procurement. I oversee the relationships with insurance brokers, TPAs, external counsels and actuary. Key to the success of a successful risk team is to build internal relationships with the Legal, Finance, Operations Teams and take their input to weigh risk and make the best recommendation for the company. My key accomplishments are building the safety program including fire protection, claims management program and hiring great people to run the teams and for them to continue to improve the programs. I have a strong claims background with a specific focus on general liability and property claims. I enjoy managing complex litigated claims and looking for the best outcome for the reputation of the company. I have directly overseen every large property claim on behalf of the company including a very complex fire loss at one of our largest distribution centers resulting in a very large settlement for the company. I want to continue to strive to educate the next generation of risk management professionals and bring diversity to the profession.
