ABOUT JENNY DUNN
I live in Lake Country, BC, and work as a mixed animal veterinarian in Vernon. I place significant value in fostering relationships with clients while providing treatment and consulting for their production, hobby, or companion animals. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in science. In my undergrad, I majored in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, where I was a varsity athlete for the women’s rugby and soccer teams. This experience allowed me to develop resilience, time management, and interpersonal skills. My Master’s degree was in Population Medicine (Epidemiology) to pursue interests related to veterinary public health. My project evaluated the mental health of employees who work at Canadian SPCA\'s. I was fortunate enough to first-author two scientific papers. The analysis of my project included qualitative and qualitative research methods. During this experience, I became proficient in conducting research, data synthesis, scientific writing, and throughly improved my written and oral communication skills. I stay sane by playing soccer and participating in the summer/winter activities the Okanagan provides!
